THIS STORY IS SET IN THE FICTIONAL KINGDOM OF SOUHA & THE VALLEY OF QAYLOULAH. Any resemblance to actual persons or places, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS STORY IS A FANTASY. My interpretation of this genre, as a Muslim storyteller, is: any fictional elements or worlds which do not compose our current reality. However, these fictional concepts should still exist within the plausibility & permissibility of Allah’s kingdom. His ability to create anything He wants does not cancel the laws He has set out for us. I do not include these elements in my work: black magic, idolatry, human interaction with jinn or angels, and superpowers which rival that of Allah (e.g. the ability to manipulate weather, foresee the future, etc).
I ask Allah that this story benefits and entertains you. Several hadith (sayings and traditions) of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and verses of the Quran, have been cited for your convenience.

I absolutely love love love this story! And for many beautiful reasons. The characters are of very unique traits, distinct personalities and interesting backrounds. I thought I‘d like Lulu the least, because I‘d kinda feel offended when someone would choose a horse over me, but she became my favorite character of all after learning about her backstory. The story has several concepts that are very creative: like certain rubies attributed to certain kingdoms or special abilities the characters have been blessed with (don‘t wanna spoiler here hehe). I love how the plot connects all the concepts in such a logical, smart and beautiful way! A chef’s kiss! That is the very trait I love in stories and strive for in my own works. Every person and place of the story was used to fulfill its meanigful purpose. And many details and ideas reminded me of what was revealed to us by Allah and narrated through hadith. Not to forget the author‘s deep understanding of certain realities that are refleted through the characters connection to their Lord. I would not doupt that it reflects the author‘s own rightouss heart. For I know her as such. A person who is striving for the pleasure of Allah. Therefore, I‘m convinced that Allah has blessed her and this work of her’s to reach the hearts of others. Maybe the first heart it reached was mine. This story had me reflect upon my own state of heart. I was guided to make a dua, seeking for Allah‘s forgiveness, inspired by the intention from Kanz to do so, and to pray for the protection of animals, because I forgot that they also suffer like us; and by us. Allah has blessed me with this story. And I was reminded of this Ayat regarding the author: „And thus We reward the doers of good“ Dear Author, may Allah reward you even more.
